Species and Culture
The peoples of Morshir are vast and varried, but they are often categorized into four types due to origin and appearance. These categories are:
- Beastfolk, species that resemble common animals, such as fawns and ribbets
- Birdfolk, species that resemble the birds of the sky, sich as aarakocra and owlins
- Dragonfolk, species that resemble or are descendants of the great dragons of the Elemental Plains, such as dragonborn and kobolds
- Novelfolk, species that do not resemble anything that otherwise exists in the world, such as humans and elves
There are also many distinct cultures, all based on geographic location. These cultures are:
- West Ermron
- The Cardinal Hills (Northern + Southern Hills)
- Lefra's Grove
- East Ermron (Barrier Peaks + Funnelwood)
- Central Plains
- The West Coast (Fishtail Peninsula + West Coasts of Ermron and Krenic)
- Durian Plains (Durian Plains + Dragonclaw Ridge + Chilnola Rise)
- Morrain's Spine
- Grenort Forest
- East Krenic (West Bordergrove + Kalma Range + Littlewood)
- The Empty Peaks (East Bordergrove + The Empty Peaks)
- Deprest Woods
- Saria (Saria + Inner Coast of Krenic)
- Surane
An important part of the broader culture of Morshir are the technologies and magics invented and discovered by the people here. Refer to the Index of Social Artifacts for more information.
